Audio Visual Support Lead

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Audio Visual (AV) Support Lead to oversee the deployment, maintenance, and operation of audio-visual systems across client locations. This leadership role requires a deep understanding of AV technology, strong project management skills, and the ability to guide and mentor a team of technicians. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering high-quality AV solutions while ensuring customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

$100,000- $120,000 yearly

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the installation, configuration, and maintenance of complex AV systems, including displays, projectors, audio equipment, video conferencing systems, and control platforms.

  • Manage and coordinate a team of AV technicians to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored AV solutions.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve advanced AV issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.

  • Oversee preventative maintenance schedules and address system upgrades to keep AV systems up-to-date and functional.

  • Provide technical guidance and hands-on training to team members to enhance their skills and performance.

  • Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to source equipment, manage inventory, and maintain service agreements.

  • Document processes, workflows, and project outcomes for continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure the team delivers cutting-edge solutions.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in audio-visual installation, support, or related roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.

  • Expertise in AV systems such as Crestron, Extron, AMX, Poly, or similar platforms.

  • Strong knowledge of networking principles as they relate to AV systems.

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues.

  • Proven ability to manage teams and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, vendors, and team members.

  • Relevant certifications such as AVIXA CTS, CTS-D, Crestron, or Extron certifications are highly desirable.

  • Proficiency in reading technical schematics and system documentation.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client sites as needed.

Working Conditions:

  • May involve lifting heavy equipment, working in tight spaces, and handling time-sensitive projects.
